After having undergone pre-vocational special education during their youth at Al-Kafaàt's specialized centers, adults with cerebral palsy, mental challenges, and Down syndrome are catered in what we call "sheltered workshops" where they deliver productive work in a shelterd and adapted environment.
Adults on-site then work in a vast range of creative workshops, while following an adapted rhythm of life that corresponds to their personal aptitudes and abilities.
Employment in this case is sheltered as each group of adults is supervised by a head-of-department who is factually a special educator.
Produced product are then sold in the market to help subsidize the project. |
